What You’ll Do
  • Display positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla
  • Assist with planning, parts acquisition, project coordination and communication with a focus on meeting project deadlines and cost goals without affecting ongoing production
  • Acting as an in-house construction technician, perform hands on installation, start up and commissioning of equipment and systems as needed
  • Enthusiastically cross train and support peers with project work that is outside of your core skill set
  • Identify and communicate quality and safety improvement opportunities. Engage in training on new tools, systems, equipment and procedures as needed
  • Accurately log work hours and part consumption using provided computer systems. Identify and openly communicate methods, procedures and tools to improve the service offerings of the Facilities Project Team
  • Support other projects as needed by management when business needs change
What You’ll Bring
  • Demonstrated proficiency and work experience in the commercial/industrial electrical trade, experience with national electric code, electrical construction & installation.
  • Degree or skilled trades certificate program, relevant military or equivalent experience
  • Ability to bend and install conduit through 4” in size. Able to lift up to 30 lbs., repetitive at times, work at elevations up to 50 ft
  • Experience installing Ethernet and fiber optics a plus
  • Detail-oriented, positive attitude, resourceful and able to manage shifting priorities. Demonstrated ability to learn and troubleshoot mechanical or instrument and control systems
  • Experience in safe work practices that includes OSHA & Emergency Response Training, fall protection, LOTO
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

    Expected Compensation
    • Construction Technician II - $32.71 - $36.15/hour
    • Construction Technician III - $35.30 - $41.03/hour
    + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
