What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a passionate individual to join our Wireless Hardware team. We support Cellular, WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC, GNSS, and emerging technologies. As an RF/EE Engineer at Tesla, you will contribute to the architecture and product level design integration of next generation wireless radio solutions in all fleets and Robots.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and develop wireless electronics in Telematic Control Units (TCU) for vehicles including circuit boards, components and systems level while adhering to industry standards and best practices
  • Perform component selection, schematic design and supervision of PCB layout
  • Conduct testing of wireless designs using lab equipment
  • Integrate TCUs into vehicles and validate the system performance at the vehicle level
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to debug and fix issues at the component level and vehicle level to optimize performance and manufacturability
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline with a focus on RF or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals with emphasis on RF and analog circuit analysis
  • Preferred knowledge and familiarity with RF circuits design experience in LTE, 5G, WiFi/BT, GPS
  • Working knowledge of wireless transceiver blocks such as low noise amplifier (LNA), mixers, power amplifiers (PA), Phase-lock loop (PLL) and filters
  • Strong skills in Python, MATLAB, C/C++ or equivalent tools for modeling and analysis
  • Experience with simulation tools including ADS and CST for design modeling
  • Experience in using test and measurement equipment specially for radio frequency like spectrum analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, oscilloscopes, signal generators, arbitrary waveform generators, etc.
  • Data analysis, report writing, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level problems

    Expected Compensation

    $96,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
