About the Role
We seek a passionate, sales-oriented City Launcher eager to jump into an entrepreneurial, hands-on GTM role and own the growth of an entire market from 0 to 1. This person is a creative outside sales expert who can chase down a target list on the ground, activating local engagement strategies and tactics tailored to each market they enter.
As City Launcher, you will operate as the Lead Account Executive for your markets, utilizing cross-functional resources to create opportunities with target event organizers and work with POSH’s central Community and Marketing teams to turn those opportunities into net new accounts with POSH.
This is POSH's first function hire, so your success in this role will also build a repeatable market playbook to drive business expansion to a global scale.
Please Note: This role requires significant travel, living in a market for 3 months (room and board 100% covered) to take it from 0 to 1 with the support of POSH's central HQ resources before moving on to the next market. Successful City Launchers will launch 2-3 markets before being promoted to an in-person GTM role at our NYC office.
Responsibilities
- Engage with key event industry stakeholders across a combination of outside sales tactics, community events, cold calls, and any other creative IRL GTM strategies you can think of!
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to closing the deal, developing customized proposals and contract terms that align with the prospect’s needs and POSH’s goals.
- Be the face of POSH in the market, attending industry events, networking potential organizers, and taking qualified high-value organizer leads through the entire sales funnel, from acquisition to close.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, continuously refining your sales tactics and strategies based on performance data and feedback to remain competitive and effective.
- Maximize inbound leads by building a team of in-market affiliates to social proof the brand’s geographic footprint.
- Test and operationalize new GTM strategies, develop SOPs, and work with leadership to properly resource and implement successful tests.
- Collaborate with the POSH community and marketing teams to host events and coordinate content production that increases local brand awareness and drives new organizer supply.
- Own your market data to define and monitor key success metrics, optimize the core business objectives, and report progress, challenges, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.

Personal and Professional Growth:
- Travel Experience: Relocate every 3-4 months, experiencing different cultures and markets with all accommodations covered.
- Leadership Role: As the first function hire, your success will pave the way for future roles and expansion strategies within the company.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need
- Has 5+ years of experience in GTM Launch, Outside Sales, or Account Executive positions at consumer marketplaces or similar growth-stage startups. Example target companies include Uber, Airbnb, DoorDash, Toast, Square, or similar.
- Is an entrepreneur at heart, craving the responsibility necessary to shape the vision and direction of the company within their market.
- Loves connecting with people. You'll spend all your time talking to new prospects to get them excited about what POSH can do for them and their community.
- Has a strategic mindset, weighing short and long-term benefits against each other and making independent decisions accordingly.
- Has an uncanny ability to influence and motivate customers and fellow team members.
- Has strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and generate actionable insights for cross-functional teams
- Pays extreme attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tracking, reporting, and analyses
- Has a strong bias for action and is extremely excited to jump into a hands-on role with a lot of ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information clearly and concisely to key company stakeholders.
Compensation
- Salary: $170,000-$200,000 OTE

Travel & Relocation
You will relocate roughly every 3-4 months. This job is strictly in-person in each city you launch.
POSH will cover your in-market accommodation, travel, and a daily stipend for food and drink.
